Police have released body cam footage of the arrest of Tyre Nichols, a black teenager in Memphis, USA. BBC news. According to media reports, Nichols was tortured by 5 policemen on January 7. He died 3 days after being arrested by policemen. A US court indicted 5 former police officers in connection with his death. A case of murder was filed against them. Apart from this, they were also dismissed from the police force for multiple policy violations.

The published body cam footage has revealed a horrific image of police torture and brutality. In the 3-minute footage, Nichols is seen being thrown on the street and beaten by the policemen. At that time, despite repeated requests, the police did not take it into account and continued to torture him. Common people are shocked by such brutality of the police. Police arrested 29-year-old Nichols on charges of violating traffic laws. After talking for a while, when he ran in fear, the policemen arrested him and brutally tortured him. They kicked and punched him several times.
